About this Division

Division Commissioner: Mary McBeth

1 Rainbow, 3 Brownie, 2 Guides and 1 Senior Section (Ranger) Units

Seaham has had a very long history of guiding and hopefully will continue for many more years. All units in Seaham town meet in Dillon House with one Brownie unit meeting separately in Murton. Our current Commissioner is Mary McBeth.

We are a very small Division of 7 Units; 1 Rainbow, 3 Brownies, 2 Guides and 1 Ranger. We have experienced Unit Leaders who can work together to provide Unit guiding and Division events for our 50 members.

Over the past few years we have been involved in most of our national guiding celebrations and initiatives including the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Changing the World and the Brownie Big Birthday Challenge for the Brownie centenary. Members have travelled to Fusion at Harewood House and Big Gig. Brownies participated in the Big Brownie Birthday Sleepovers at Mowden Rugby Club and most of our members, of all ages, in Star Quest Spectacular at Wetherby Racecourse.

Every year we get together as a Division to celebrate World Thinking Day with an afternoon of craft making from around the world.
