About us

Leaders laugh together during a presentation in front of a group of Brownies

Girlguiding Durham South aims to build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. To date we have over 3000 members in the Durham South County from Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers to Trefoil Guild.

Girlguiding Durham South covers the whole of the County Durham and Darlington area, with Divisions based in Barnard Castle, Bishop Auckland, Chester-le-Street, Darlington, Durham, East Durham, Newton Aycliffe, Seaham, Sedgefield, Weardale and their surrounding villages.
