Leaders from Shildon and St Helens units attended a Crisp packet workshop on Saturday 15th February, where they turned washed crisp packets into blankets and bivvy bags for homeless people. Such a simple idea and very effective and easy to make.
The bivvy bags were a bit more complicated as they need a ‘window’. Altogether we made 7 blankets and one bivvy bag. If anybody wants to know how to make these, get in touch with Diane Farrer, Norma Snowdon or Dawn Craddock; alternatively submit a contact form and we can direct you to them.
