A great afternoon was had taking our County Commissioner, Di Farrer, by surprise as she was presented with the Laurel Award by NEE Chief Commissioner Linda Grant.
The Laurel Award is one of the highest awards within Girlguiding, given to adult members of Girlguiding, or a Branch Association, in recognition of outstanding service to guiding.
It was worth all the effort and secrecy to see her stunned reaction! Thank you Brownies for letting us gatecrash your event and to all who were able to attend. Sorry we couldn’t have more there but current restrictions meant numbers had to be limited. Congratulations Di!
